I started working with the University of Illinois Athletic Department as a creative media during the 2022 spring Football season. I help with post-production filming, editing, and recruiting shoots for all 21 varsity sports at Illinois. Working across so many teams forced me to quickly adapt my creative approach to different audiences, brand voices, and competitive environments, while maintaining a consistent standard of quality and storytelling.
In my last year working with Illinois I served as the Director of Creative Video for the Illinois Men's Gymnastics Team where I led content planning, production, and execution with a focus on athlete-driven storytelling and timely social content.
Each video comes with their own set of challenges. Whether it is equipment failing, weather not permitting, the social media manager wanting last minute music changes, or any number of factors that come into play when creating meaningful content. Through these experiences, I have improved and developed a strong understanding of both the creative and operational sides of sports media production.
