Not everything makes it on the front page of my portfolio, but it all gets to go on my mom's fridge.
What does it feel like to make a cup of coffee? That was the question I was asked (ironically over coffee) by my friend. After mulling over it we aimed to create this feeling to kickstart his roasting company on social media. Creating a trailer and short video that got 33,000 views in under 12 hours.
I went on to help him shoot and edit his other videos, amassing 1.3 million views and counting.
When I am not creating for a brand I like to make short videos like this one. I'm not creating to appease an algorithm or have the best conversions. These videos are an emotional outlet, something to express myself with or to document a moment.
This was a fun experience to document. My high school baseball team had the opportunity to play in Busch Stadium in 2023, and when word reached me I immediately called the coach asking if they could secure a media pass for me. A 3-hour drive and one rented lens later I stepped foot onto my favorite MLB team's home plate. We won 9-7.
A small mini-documentary focusing on Leila Forouhar, a Persian pop and classical singer.
This was the first time I worked on a project like this, it was fun to be more methodical with my shots along with working on pre-production with my best friend and creative partner Jack Stopka
Made for the Iranian Heritage Foundation.
A video of my 2 hours spent in Chicago, I aimed to externalize how exploring Chicago feels to me. I wanted to show the chaotic streets mixed with the islands of calm.
A quick video made only because the lighting was perfect, I haven't found better conditions since.
